Good with L-shaped tear in cloth at head, tiny piece of tape on verso, faint tape stains on front and back boards. Cloth mottled, especially on back board, a little edge-worn. A few inscriptions on prelims and one on terminals scrawled over and covered in small slips of paper. Front and back hinges weak, starting. Lacking jacket. Described by Christopher Dennistoun as "a magnum opus describing the best possible means of imparting statistical information visually." The author's best-known work. He went on to create the first hedge fund with his Karsten Statistical Laboratory in late December 1930.
