Flyer advertising one of The Living Theatre's most important productions, created in response to the imprisonment of some members of the collective by the Medici regime during a tour in Brazil. Originally performed in November of 1973, this flyer dates from a one-day engagement in New Haven the following year, part of a nationwide tour of the play. Judith Malina recalled the creation of SEVEN MEDITATIONS: "When we left the jail, we asked the prisoners who were left behind, 'What can we do for you? We are a poor theater group; we cannot send you money, what can we do?' All of them said, 'Tell people how it is.'" (Inventory #: 16792)
