Illustrated with a large folding map backed in linen and a folding lithograph illustration of a Tennessee farm also backed in linen. Binding is a later half morocco leather binding with brownish cloth covered boards. 5 raised bands and title in gilt on the spine. Later dark green end papers. Some scuffing to the edges of the spine and boards. The title page has a light crease and light edge wear. Light occasional foxing to the contents. Map and lithographic view in very good condition. Author promotes East Tennessee as a good place for manufacturing and farming and offers advice to the capitalist. He also provides his opinions on the Native Americans and African Americans.
