[ca. 1850] · London
From the "Buds and Blossoms" series: Fretful little Dora goes to the zoo with her Aunt Clara, and learns not to make troubles out of trifles. Elijah Whymper provided the cover design, the frontispiece camel, and at least one of the four interior illustrations.
Provenance: From the children's book collection of Albert A. Howard, sans indicia. Publisher's printed salmon paper wrappers; light wear to extremities, paper just starting to split at foot of spine. A few spots of light foxing, pages otherwise generally clean (and entirely unmauled by childish hands). => A very attractive copy. (Inventory #: 38462)
