Titlepage and several other leaves chipped, small closed tear through fore-edge of text block. Contemporary ink stamp on titlepage, contemporary ownership inscription on front wrapper. Initial and final leaves with light soiling and dampstaining. Good. A scarce business promotional for Deadwood, South Dakota, issued by its Board of Trade in 1892. The pamphlet dangles to prospect of "unlimited ore" to attract "the attention of capitalists to the wonderful opportunity there is here to acquire large wealth." In addition to the diverse types and copious quantities of ore, the related business opportunities, the comforts of the town, the transportation infrastructure, the climate, the geography, and scenery are all extolled. Additionally, the work contains twenty-one reproductions of contemporary photographs of the town and surrounding areas. Only five copies located by OCLC. (Inventory #: WRCAM52864)
