Wraps
1897 · Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh: Printer: Rawsthorne Engraving and Printing Co., 1897. Wraps. Good. N.d., circa 1895. Oblong, 17.5 by 26 cm. 16 pp., plus wraps. Recliners, lounges, wheelchairs, invalid tricycles, back rests, folding bed trays, operating chairs, invalid beds -- many of these with cane work and/or woven material, with some nod to aesthetics. Not all intended for the infirm and hospital clientele. An unusual item is their "Fairy tricycle", which is a recreational vehicle meant for adults. Scarce, with only copy of this catalogue at Winterthur, and the Hagley, the Strong, Winterthur and one other institution having other catalogues of this company. Condiition: soiling of wraps. Hole in last leaf, roughly measuring two inches by a half inch (it isn't neatly rectangular), with some minor loss of text and the corner of an illustration.
