An expanded version collection originally published in 1868 as SEVEN STORIES OF THE HUDSON RIVER COUNTIES under the pseudonym "Dirck St. Remy." It's a mélange of poetry and prose, concluding with the long poem, "The Centurion on the Sentry's Round. July 4, 1876," with its own sectional title. It was separately published in 1876.
