London, 1932. unbound. very good. Two Autograph Notes signed with initials "GBS" , on his partly printed correspondence cards, 4-1/2 X 2, each captioned: With Bernard Shaw's Compliments, 4 Whitehall Court, London. The first: The Melbourn Hotel, August 8th 1932, in full: "I don't know Cicely's address, so must send her cards to you. This should have been enclosed with the pictures." The second, evidently written to his dentist, December 3rd 1936, in full: "The lower plate proved so much worse with the upper plate of the other set that I had to take it out and put it in my pocket. So you may slice into it as hard as you like. It is on the right hand side that it presses." Both cards are evenly toned with the addition of some minor surface striations on the second item. Overall very good. Irish playwright whose major works include Man and Superman (1902), Pygmalion (1912) and Saint Joan (1923). (Inventory #: 283331)
