The Plays of J.M. Barrie: PETER PAN or The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up
by Barrie, J.M.
London: Hodder and Stoughton, 1928. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good/Near fine. The first publication of the play, which was first performed in 1904 - seven years before the 1911 novel Peter and Wendy. Both versions tell the story of Peter Pan, a mischievous yet innocent little boy who can fly, and has many adventures on the island of Neverland that is inhabited by mermaids, fairies, Native Americans, and pirates. Small octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with printed paper title labels. Light foxing to the edges. The thin paper dust jacket is a trifle browned along the spine; else a lovely example. Better than very good.
