Reverend Hooper, Pastor of the West Church, was the father of William Hooper, who signed the Declaration of Independence. The belief, he says, that "Our Souls are made of the same Matter with our Bodies, and with them they die and perish for ever... is more dangerous than that of the ancient Hereticks."
Evans 4731. ESTC W37758. (Inventory #: 35017)
