Manchester, New Hampshire: Printed by the John B. Clarke Co, 1892. First Edition. Wraps. Very good. Approx. 6.5" x 5.25" stapled wraps. 16 pages. Paper wraps are in very good condition. On October 15th, 1891 in Manchester, New Hampshire Samuel J. Bunker, Ada L. Cram, and Mary Kane were killed in the explosion of the thirty-foot flywheel at the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company Mill. The report found no fault or neglect on the part of any operative of the company. On page 15 and 16 is a reprinted letter from E. D. Leavitt, Mechanical Engineer, New York. Leavitt explains the destruction of the Corliss band wheel and advises on using better parts. Scarce. 2 copies located in OCLC. (Inventory #: 13686)
