The book was signed at a book review at Phoenix College in 1949, where Billie Burke was the guest speaker. Burke became friendly with event organizer Louise Fitzgerald. who passed this book on to her daughter: With the presentation: "For my daughter Jane Bacon as a memento of a thoroughly unusual friendship we were permitted to make with Billie Burke- truly one of the most appealing, serious, sweet personalities. From Mother, Louise Fitzgerald." Beneath the presentation are two, circular blue feathers, with an inscription in the middle: "Billie Burke placed on of these feathers in each book." With a program of book review events at the college for 1949-1950, with a signed presentation from Burke: "To Jane, With my best [to you?]. Billie Burke 1949." Also with a newspaper clipping about Burke's appearance tipped to a front bank page. A book with an interesting history!. 8vo., decorative black cloth in dust jacket; 272 pages. Illustrated..
