In this story a human boy joins the ranks of the four animal kings of the forest by teaching them special skills. A charming story by Wilson, who founded The Press in Tuscany Alley with her husband Adrian Wilson, where they designed and published many fine limited editions.
___DESCRIPTION: Original pictorial green paper wrappers, Japanese stab-stitched with green silk thread, endpapers illustrated in orange and green, with five-colour linoleum cuts throughout, signatures French-fold; Centaur type, Ingres paper, quarto size (just over 9.75" by 8 5/8"),  unnumbered pp., signed by Joyce Lancaster Wilson. With the original white handmade pape wrapper, which itself is protected by an acetate wrapper.
___CONDITION: A fine copy, with clean wrappers free of wear or rubbing, the threads used for the binding strong and rich in colour, the interior is clean and bright, and entirely free of prior owner markings; paper wrapper near fine, clean with minimal wear to the head and tail, and to the joints, the acetate wrapper near fine with some closed tears; overall a fine copy, and a lovely example of the work of The Press in Tuscany Alley.
