This exhibition would have taken place in the last decade of these artist's lives, after they'd achieved a great deal of fame. Georges Braque (1882-1963) in particular was a close companion of Picasso, and their work in its earlier years greatly inspired and informed each other; this would have been one of the last time Braque and Picasso exhibited together during Braque's lifetime.
