London: William Bowyer, 1765. Sixth Edition. Hardcover (Full Leather). Very Good Condition. In a full red morocco Hollis binding with Britannia gold stamped on the front board and an owl on the rear. Rear board cleanly detached, front nearly so, last gathering detached with the rear board, spine darkened, hinges worn , a bit of wear at edges - clean and unmarked internally. Two bookplates on pastedown, Hollis motif stamped to rear blank. With the manuscript note "This book was printed at the expense of Mr. Hollis, who sent some copies to me abroad in the year 1766 for the use of learned foreigners. E. [signature cut out] See Bowyer's Anecdotes." E.
