Over 150 black and white and color plates, single page (4 ½" x 7 ½"), with a couple of folded plates, Normal aging, some with rough bottom or top edges; otherwise very good Long considered one of the best sources on 19th century New York City history, Valentine Manuals ran 1841 to 1870. They are typically well stocked with maps and many charming illustrations of buildings and places in Old New York. This collection of plates features many historic sites including, Frances's Tavern, Tammany Hall, George Clinton's Residence, The New Harlem Bridge, Early Trinity Church and the Arsenal at Central Park and 57th Street.
