[a bit of wear to book at spine ends and lower corners; jacket worn along top edge (a few small chips and tears), a little horiztonal creasing at top of front panel, spine faded with about 1" of paper loss at top, a few insect-nibbles along rear foldover]. (B&W photographs) Comedy, adapted by the playwright from his own stories, about a magazine writer (not unlike Gibbs himself) summering on Fire Island; the entire action takes place on the front porch of his bungalow. The original Broadway production starred Richard Whorf and Nancy Kelly, under the direction of Burgess Meredith, and played throughout the entire 1950/51 season, racking up a nice healthy 367 performances.
