Very Good. Albumen print on mount of the same size, depicting a group of girl scouts and children welcoming home American soldiers from WWI. Previous owner has dated and written names of a few of the children on verso: "1919. Girls holding flag. Left. Lilian Bell Darden, Sara Kunkle, Carrie Crossley, Miriam Miller Bretz. Jake Snyder(?), Archie Oscar Hommel on seat. Katherine Bell, teacher with hat on Grierspoint(?)." The name "Dale Hummel" was at one time written on verso as well. Photographic print measures 8"x6" and is in very good condition. Mount has moderate wear and chipping; print has light yellowing, silvering, and light soiling. The 45 or so children are piled into a wagon, with the four girl scouts holding the flag, and all the other children donning patriotic hats and bows. . (Inventory #: 016622)
