Henningsen's color and b/w photographs and Parks' words are their record of R. C. Gorman his people, his land, and most of all, his art. Beautiful tribute to the work and life of the Native American artist of the Navajo Nation, known for his delicate, fluid forms and vibrant colors. The exhibition "Masterworks of the American Indian" at the Metropolitan Museum in New York included R. C. Gorman as the only living artist shown. One of his pieces was featured on the cover of the exhibition catalog. The extraordinary color and b/w white photographs by Chuck Henningsen depict Gorman, his work, his people and the land of the Navajo in Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. Book design by Katy Homans.
