A sixteenth century edition of the works of Pope Clement I, the fourth pope of the Catholic Church. Edited by Rufino Torano and Gregor Haloander. Text in Greek and Latin. Engraved woodcut initials, headpieces, and tailpieces; engraved printer's device on the title page. Collates complete; [6], 613, [20] ff. Foxing throughout; some trimming to the top edge of the textblock, affecting the running title and foliation. A nineteenth century binding; front hinge fully cracked, but holding well; shelfwear; remnants of a number label on the top of the spine. Quarter brown leather over marbled paper boards, with lettering and decorative rules stamped in gilt on the spine. All edges speckled blue. Very Good binding.
