Bound on old green linen, red leather label on spine, corners rubbed, joints cracked but holding, all edges gilt with a foredge of Salisbury Cathedral in the distance and an angler fishing on the river in the foreground. Bookplate of antiquarian Thomas Bell (1785-1860), who is known to have had an extensive library (see DNB, Vol. 4, page 174). Very good. (Inventory #: 2221995)
