The Little Old Log Cabin in the Lane. Song and chorus by Will S. Hayes. As sung by Alma Gluck (Victor Record: No. 64809) .50 [fifty cents]
by Hays, Will S., words and music
Boston: Oliver Ditson Company, 1913. Sheet_music. 5p., ad, large fascicle of 12x9 inches, rubricated titlepage with nice cover illustration (by T.J. Cain?). Rather worn with old vertical and transverse crease-lines, hand-soil and flecks; complete but as is. A rubber-stamp (neatly applied) lets us know the item was originally purchased at Henry Grobe's Wurlitzer shop on Stockton St, San Francisco, for presumably the printed price of fifty cents (the Alma Gluck record would have cost you one dollar). Reflection on decrepit old age, neither minstrelry nor religious tract. (Inventory #: 228863)
