Original 123 page shooting script for the pirate film starring Robert Shaw, Genevieve Bujold, James Earl Jones, Lorenzo Palmas, Peter Boyle, Beau Brdiges, and Geoffrey Holder directed by James Goldstone. In Jamaica in 1718, a band of pirates led by Captain “Red” Ned Lynch (Robert Shaw) oppose a greedy overlord, the evil Lord Durant (Peter Boyle), Durant has ruthlessly imprisoned his Lord High Justice and mercilessly evicted the judge's wife and daughter. The daughter, Jane Barnet (Genevieve Bujold), attempts a rescue with Lynch’s help. Bradbound in studio wrappers. Fine. The earliest drafts of the script were entitle Swashbucker, the shooting script present here was entitled The Blarney Cock, but after filming was completed Universal changed the release title back to the original Swashbuckler.
