Secaucus, NJ: Citadel Press, 1974. First Edition. Signed by actor Gene Kelly on the half-title beneath his printed name. Oversize format, 8 3/4” x 11 1/4”, 243 pages, illustrated throughout. Near fine copy with some minor handling and edge wear in a very good dust jacket with some interior tape reinforcement and a few tiny tears. The last film profiled in this book is Forty Carats (1973) with Liv Ullman and Edward Albert. Some of Kelly’s other best known films include Anchors Aweigh (1945) - winning Best Actor Oscar, Take Me Out to the Ball Game (1949) with Frank Sinatra and Esther Williams, On the Town (1949), An American in Paris (1951), and Singin’ in the Rain (1952) with Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds. Gene Kelly was awarded an Honorary Oscar in 1952 in appreciation of his versatility as an actor, singer, director, and dancer. (Inventory #: 22175E)
