Hardcover. ix, 617p., illustrated with numerous fullpage b&w photographs many of which tissue-guarded, hardbound in 9.5x7 inch maroon oilcloth boards titled and decorated gilt. Rather edgeworn: extremities have fabric showing through the laminate, spine panel's tail rim has a short tear and fray, and there is a small puncture close to the head rim. Textblock faintly toned, small old tape-repair at p.462, a few occasional light pencillings, everything else in good order including the hinges, a generally sound clean handleable copy. Please note, volume 2 only, we understand that there were 3 such.
