Joseph D. Pistone was an undercover FBI agent who went by the alias Donnie Brasco. He infiltrated the Mafia and eventually orchestrated the arrest of one of the biggest theft rings to date. In 1988 he published a true crime novel titled: "Donnie Brasco: My Undercover Life in The Mafia" which was later made into a feature film starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino.
