On Styche, Market Drayton stationery lettered in embossed blue (Shropshire, the 18th c. home of Robert Clive), Herbert writes: May 23rd, Dear Sir: I enclose a reprint of the advertisement of the Education Committe respecting the grants offered to teachers for the Summer Meeting. Will you be so kind as to make it known as much as possible among the teachers in your neighborhood, so that they may have the opportunity of apply if they care to do so. There is not much time before June 1st. Truly yours, . Herbert was the daughter of Percy Egerton Herbert and Mary Caroline Louisa Thomas Herbert. She granted the style and precedence of the 'daughter of an Earl' by Royal Warrant 1891. (Inventory #: 1939)
