Originally published serially in St. Nicholas Magazine, this fanciful story is the result of a collaboration between artist Edward James Austen & his wife, Frances Vescelius Austen. As described in Publishers' Trade List Annual, Elfie's Visit is "a strikingly original story of an imaginary visit of a little girl to the “Realm of Fancy” and the abode of Santa Claus, charmingly illustrated." Quite uncommon, OCLC locates 7 copies under accession number 2067746 (11/20/2018).
