Below this greeting is an inscription presumably by the maker of this album - "On my "natal" day Jan 1 1903 48 years old Clara Mock Boyd." Her name is written on the next page in the album and on another page. An old news clipping, dated Nov. 13, 1896 from the "Willows Review", concerns Supervisor James Boyd, born near Belfast, Ireland who came to California in 1868. The article states he married C. M. Williams of Dixon, Cal Dec. 20th, 1888. Willows, California is in Glenn County California. The Boyd family is mentioned in the 1918 publication of "History of Colusa and Glenn counties, California, with biographical sketches of the leading men and women of the counties who have been identified with their growth and development from the early days to the present" by Charles McComish and Rebecca Lambert. Frank Moody, mentioned in the album, was a Judge in the Superior Court of California in Glenn County from 1895-1899 (from Glenn.Court.Ca).
