Vienna: Kunst dem Volk, No date. Stiff wraps. vg. Original light brown stiff wraps mailer with black lettering on cover, protected by modern mylar. Kunst dem Volk (Art for the People) was an art magazine for visual art, architecture and art and crafts. It was published during the Third Reich by Heinrich Hoffmann, a friend and the personal photographer of Adolf Hitler. Hoffmann was appointed to this magazine by Hitler, having the Führer's full trust in art matters.
The mailer has the title and subtitle of the magazine plus "Zeitungen von Wien nach" (Newspapers from Vienna to) and the usual warnings printed to the front cover: Beware Art Plates! and Do Not Fold! An additional printed disclaimer is printed to the bottom of the mailer: claims based on tardy delivery or damages to the mailing have to be addressed to the Postal Service, not the publisher. Text in German. Name and number penciled to front. Mailer in overall very good condition. (Inventory #: 43557)
