signed first edition Cloth
1938 · New York
by Margaret Sanger
New York: W.W. Norton & Company, 1938. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good. SIGNED IN YEAR-OF-PUBLICATION BY MARGARET SANGER on the front free endpaper. A solid copy to boot of the 1938 stated 1st edition of this sweeping autobiography of birth-control activist and women's rights advocate Margaret Sanger (1897-1966). Tight and VG+ in its navy-blue cloth, with light soiling along the panels and light foxing to the preliminaries. And in a crisp, price-intact, VG dustjacket, with light chipping to the tips, at the spine ends and along the panel edges. Light abrading as well at the rear panel's lower-edge. Still though, an attractive, presentable copy. Thick octavo, an important document in the early struggle for women's basic rights. (Inventory #: 16800)
