With a signed presentation from Dufresne on the half-title page, to pioneer conservationist Clinton R. "Pink" Gutermuth: "To Pink Gutermuth with admiration and thanks from an old friend, Frank Dufresne." Gutermuth was involved in conservation organizations, like the American Wildlife Institute and the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference. This led to his involvement in the Boone and Crockett Club, North America's oldest wildlife and habitat conservation organization, founded in 1887 by Theodore Roosevelt.
