A group of US paratroopers go on a dangerous mission into Japanese occupied Burma to blow up a radar station. After a successful mission they travel to an old airstrip to get picked up but are prevented by a Japanese patrol. They must turn around and travel through the jungle, bringing them closer to danger. Nominated for three Academy Awards.
