All three volumes are first printings in the correct dust jackets, volume 1 with price of $10.00 on the jacket's front flap and "11/58" on its rear flap; volume 2 with a price of $12.50 and "11/63" on the front flap; volume 3 with its price blackened out on the ront flap and "11/74" on its rear flap. Broadfoot 202. Nevins 13. An attractive set of all three volumes in Foote's classic military study of the Civil War, uncommon in the first edition. Volume 1 is a very near Fine book with a tiny ding to the rear board in a Very Good lightly edge-worn dust jacket with a few tiny chips and a small area of discoloration to the front panel; volume 2 is just about Fine in a Very Good dust jacket with wear and a couple of tiny chips to the crown of the spine panel and a few small closed tears; volume 3 is Near Fine in a Very Good dust jacket with a few traces of edge wear and toning and its price blackened out (‘$' visible).
