Profusely illustrated with sepia-toned photographs and photomontages, diagrams and maps featuring German colonies in East Africa, South-West Africa, Cameroon, Togo, New Guinea and South Sea, and Samoa, highlighting the efforts to improve infrastructure as well as the industrial activities and subsequent benefits. The maps at rear demonstrate the loss of territory of the German homeland and colonies due to the Treaty of Versailles.
