Frank Charles Schrader (1860-1944) was a widely known geologist with a long career with the U.S. Geological Survey. He was a researcher, professor at Harvard, and an intrepid field explorer. His field experience was mostly in Alaska in the late 1890's and early 1900's and in the western states . This book is one of his many reports on the geology and mining.
