Minot ND, Hillsdale NY, Somerville MA: the journal, 1972. Seven issues of the journal in tabloid newspaper format, all worn, all on toned newsprint, all with stamped or penned address on rear wrap, Number 3 with pencil marginalia throughout else generally good condition. The numbering remained consistent even through changes of title. Issues present are Vol. 2 nos. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8, with the title changing to Rough Times with Number 6. The journal advocated new approaches to mental illness in the context of the counterculture and the anti-Vietnam War movement. Number 7 has a section on gay liberation and gay mental health patients and Number 8 has a special section on Vietnam. (Inventory #: 242845)
