The original decorative hardcover binding has minor sunning to the spine and minor shelfwear, including a small bump to one corner. Signed and inscribed by the author on the dedication page "With compliments to Fraulein Scott Preston from [signed] Eulalie Osgood Grover". Illustrated by Bertha L. Corbett, and with a song including words and music by W.H. Neidlinger. Previous owner's bookplate is on the front endpaper, as well as her handwritten name: Alice Scott Preston. The blank leaf facing the bookplate is toned. The text is clean and unmarked. Dated only 1902 on the copyright page indicating that this is a first edition, first printing.. (Inventory #: 019370)
