1819 · [Andover, Mass.]
[Andover, Mass.]: Flagg & Gould, Printers, 1819. Broadside, 47 x 29 cm. Typographical border. One blank corner torn off, slightly affecting the border, separation at horizontal center fold, with small hole in center. One name added in manuscript. The most prominent student, in the senior class, was Orville Dewey. The faculty consisted only of Ebenezer Porter, Leonard Woods and Moses Stuart, with four resident licentiates, and 99 students in the junior, middle and senior classes (junior with 41 to only 22 seniors)1. A period when Andover was beginning to become enormously influential, chiefly due to Moses Stuart. Until his time, biblical studies were quite neglected, and the study of Hebrew non-existent.
