One of the best-known English poems with a nautical theme, this uncommon edition is illustrated with 18 aquatint plates and 4 vignettes by marine artist Robert Dodd. It also has a long section of definitions of nautical terms used in the poem. (Falconer was the author of the important Universal Dictionary of the Marine...)
