Roma, 1838. Quarter Calf. Good. N.p. 4to. 29.5 by 20.5 cm. Hand-colored illustration on title, followed by 40 hand-colored costume plates depicting people of various professions in and around Rome, mostly common folk and their picturesque and colorful attire. No institutions listed with this exact same publication, but the illustrations herein can be encountered in leporellos and other formats, and so we are disinclined to make a representation about the scarcity of the collection of plates. Condition: Ex-lib, with perforated library name on every page, library bookplate in FEP, stamped number on one plate. Rebacked. Pages age toned, but otherwise mostly clean other than the perforation in upper right of pages. (Inventory #: 006552)
