Beginning his collection at a young age, Mr. Rohauer went on to found the Hollywood Film Society whose members included such notables as D.W. Griffith, Fritz Lang, and Jean Renoir. Rohauer also established meaningful partnerships with Buster Keaton, Mrs. Harry Langdon, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., and others committed to the distribution and restorations of features and shorts that went unseen for many years.
