A biography of the noted Hollywood film director, William Wyler, three-time winner of the Academy Award for Best Director for Ben-Hur, The Best Years of Our Live, and Mrs. Miniver, and nominated for many more, including Dodsworth, Wuthering Heights, The Letter, The Little Foxes, The Heiress, Detective Story, Roman Holiday, Friendly Persuasion, and The Collector. Robert ‘Bob’ Thomas (1922 - 2014) worked primarily as a film industry reporter for the Associated Press and as a biographer of such Hollywood legends as Liberace, Walter Winchell, Joan Crawford, Maron Brando, Walt Disney, William Holden, Irving Thalberg, and Bing Crosby.
