Nottingham: Burbage & Stretton, Printers, 14, Long Row, 1802. 1st printing thus. Stored folded, and housed in an archival mylar sleeve. Age toning, with dust soiling to outer panels [when folded]. Fold lines, with some splits & minor loss along the folds. Edge rash. Mss title to exterior panel, with inclusion dates inked underneath. A Good copy of this rare survivor.. Broadside, printed in 3 columns, with title printed in 4 lines at top, with bottom 4 paragraphs [in two columns] a history of the office. Typographical border. 19-3/8" x 15-1/2"
A chronological history of those who served in the office, beginning in 1700 with Richard Hacker, of Newark Upon Trent, and concluding in 1802 with Robert Lowe, of Oxton. Of note, the printer, in the 3rd column, lists blanks through the year 1824.We find no institutional records of this broadside, neither on OCLC, nor COPAC. (Inventory #: 47893)
