Lakeville, CT: The Senior Class of the Hotchkiss School, 1925. Suede. Near Fine. A handsome copy of the 1925 yearbook of The Hotchkiss School of Lakeville, CT, one of the nation's most elite boarding schools. Bound in a light-brown, full suede, with bright gilt-titling and design at the front panel and rubbed titling along the spine. Tasteful, decorative blindstamped bordering as well to the panels. The yearbook has held up very well, easily meriting a Near Fine, and internally is clean as could be, with no writing or markings of any kind. Octavo, wonderful uniform Art Deco headings at each page, crisp black-and-white photographs thruout. The entitlement and meritocracy driving many of the choicest Prep schools in the early to mid 1900s comes thru loud and clear in these pages, with roughly 90% of the Senior class moving on to college at either Yale or Princeton and a small handful of unlucky classmates having to settle for either Harvard, Columbia, Williams, MIT or Antioch.
