San Francisco: The Sunday Paper, Inc, 1972. Newspaper. Six issue run of color underground newspapers in two sections, missing the second section for Nos. 1 and 6. Some water stains, brittleness, chipping, toning and fraying. Three issues have stamps indicating they were coin box copies. Front sections' front and back pages feature full-color underground comix strips by many of the local greats of the era. The second sections are more entertainment and night life oriented, with event calendars for the week. John Bryan's ambitious attempt at a San Francisco broadside underground paper which featured two full pages of color underground comix each issue by a variety of cartoonists, including Gilbert Shelton, Jay Lynch, Bill Griffith, Larry Todd, Trina Robins, Willy Murphy, Justin Green, Bobby London, and others. Contributing artists changed from issue to issue. Sadly, only seven issues were published in all.
