A late, but striking design by Zdeněk Rossmann for this title on the Soviet banking system. The title of the original Russian work is "Bankovskaia sistema SSSR." Rossmann was an important avant-garde and constructivist-inspired graphic designer and typographer, a Brno-based member of the Devětsil group, and illustrator of many important publications of the Czech interwar avant-garde. Outside the Czech Republic, KVK, OCLC only show the copy at Nanterre (Harvard holds a copy of the second edition, issued in 1950). (Inventory #: P6069)
