Catalog of a regional exhibition in Brno, Moravia, held jointly by various associations, such as SVU Aleš Brno, SVUM Hodonín, SOV Olomouc, SUS Opava, and MSVU Ostrava, and organized by the editors of one of the most significant arts journals of post-war Czechoslovakia, edited and designed by the painter František Kaláb. The journal saw itself as honoring the heritage of the interwar avant-garde, with its equally interdisciplinary and internationalist outlook. Among the Moravian artists here represented, both younger ones and more established figures, are Helena Bochořáková, Bohumír Dvorský, Vlasimil Fiala, Karel Hofman, Vladimír Hroch, Karel Jílek, František Kaláb, František Malý, František Süsser, and many others. The catalog numbers a total of 238 works exhibited, by over seventy artists, all of them priced for sale, and with the author's date of birth and affiliation. We can trace no copies outside the Czech Republic. (Inventory #: P6438)
