For sale from Productive Arts is a large collection of WPA posters, publications and ephemera. Many of the items were acquired from Anthony Velonis, who pioneered the silkscreen printing process while at the New York City WPA poster division and later with the US Army Reconditioning Service print shop at the Fitzsimons General Hospital in Denver. The collection includes: 35 posters, including works by Velonis, Katherine Milhous, Harry Herzog, Richard Halls, Aida McKenzie and William McBride, as well as Louis Seigriest's Indian Court series of eight posters. Mural studies by Kindred McLeary for the post office at South Norwalk CT and George Post for the Sonora (CA) Union High School. Post's study is a watercolor that was exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Art in 1936. The 1939 WPA Calendar. Maquettes for five posters and one publication; five by Velonis and one by McBride.
