First printing Very good+ in ivory colored cloth covered boards with a gilt on brown title block with the lower 1/4 inch of the cloth at the heel of the spine slightly soiled and with a prior owner's name and gift inscription on the front paste down and spots of foxing or staining to the fore edge of the text block. In only a good+ unclipped dust jacket with the lower 1 1/2 inch of the spine area missing and with a 1/8 inch chip from the upper corner of the spine area and narrow chips from the fold from the front panel.
